Inaugural Get Crackin’ Private Brunch at Joe’s Stone Crab

Feeding South Florida Honors Its Top Supporters

To honor some of its most vehement supporters and reflect its mission, Feeding South Florida™ is joining forces with the legendary Joe’s Stone Crab restaurant in Miami Beach to present the nonprofit organization’s inaugural “Get Crackin’” private brunch on Sunday, April 21 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The public is welcome to attend this unique event, and enjoy Joe’s acclaimed stone crabs and other delicious cuisine without the wait.

Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger by providing immediate access to nutritious food; by leading advocacy efforts in hunger and poverty; and by transforming lives through innovative programming and education.

During the event, Feeding South Florida CEO Paco Vélez and “Get Crackin’” Chair/ Board Chair Diana Brooks will present esteemed honorees with awards to recognize their devotion to providing a brighter future and new hope for the nearly 1 million individuals, including children and seniors that struggle to put food on the table in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties. Honorees are:

  • Media Hero Honoree The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald
  • Corporate Citizenship Honoree Southern Wine & Spirits

Over 300 attendees are expected to gather at Joe’s Stone Crab, located at 11 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139, to celebrate the honorees and enjoy the famously delicious Joe’s cuisine. The brunch will kick off with an 11 a.m. reception, followed by brunch from 12–2 p.m. Attendees will enjoy scrumptious main course selections including stone crab claws, salmon, steak, and chicken; Joe’s delectable signature sides: coleslaw, spinach and hash browns; and mimosas, champagne, Bloody Marys and red and white wines.

Event sponsorships ranging from $1,500 to $20,000 are available to support the event and Feeding South Florida’s mission. Individual tickets are priced at $150.
