Heaven on Earth

Where’s the best place to go to escape the scorching heat of Miami? Erin Newberg and Ashley Turchin know the spot- The Lodges at Eagles Nest in Banner Elk, North Carolina. With highs in the summer of 70 degrees and 60 degree nights, the cool mountain air of the Blue Ridge Mountains kept these Miami darlings loving life and in luxury. They did it all! Day 1: hike, ice cream and fudge at Kilwins, a car race and swing from a ropes course in the trees. Day 2: vintage shopping in the quaint towns of Blowing Rock, Boone, and Banner Elk. Day 3: hike the famous Grandfather Mountain and get messages in the Teepee Village. And if that wasn’t enough, each night they got to sleep 5,000 feet up in the sky at the top of Eagles Nest.

Sony Ericsson Final
It’s final, literally, as the Sony Ericsson Open ended with a men’s final that featured two of the tennis world’s most exciting young talents. ATP World Tour number four, Andy Murray, won his third ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tennis tournament with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over number three, Novak Djokovic, to become the first British champion at the Sony Ericsson Open. As you’ve come to expect, Hellmund was on scene capturing the sights of the Ericsson’s final day.
