If a social event occurs and Manny Hernandez isn’t there to document it, did it really happen? No one really knows. But we do know that the following events did indeed take place because they are in this week’s SOCIAL Manny, by Manny Hernandez: the reception to celebrate designer Fernando Wong's Miami and Palm Beach office opening; the Tinsley Mortimer/Hypnotiq event at Neiman Marcus, Merrick Park; the Givenchy luncheon at the Soho Beach House; the MAM Contemporaries Cinco de Mayo Social; and the 2012 Women of Distinction and Caring Luncheon at the Intercontinental Hotel.

2011/2012 Gala Guide
SocialMiami is proud to present its fifth annual Gala Guide. This organic piece begins with promotion of each of the following galas, and once the event occurs, the pre-event promotion is replaced with post-event coverage. As always, the compilation of these signature events is an exciting undertaking, and SocialMiami is there throughout the season promoting, documenting and supporting.

After-Party: The gala world's hippest trend
SocialMiami’s Aaron Glickman examines why the gala after-party is THE place to be...
You know it’s a good party when they run out of Champagne flutes and guests are forced to drink Moet from white wine glasses. Thus was the case at the New World Symphony (NWS) gala and after-party: after-party being the key phrase.
Many organizations are creating after-parties as a way to seduce younger donors and bring them into the gala world. With gala ticket prices in Miami ranging from $500 to $1500, a $100 to $150 after-party ticket is far more reasonable to the younger crowd.
