Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation will hold its 12th Annual Diamond Ball with more than 600 of South Floridas most philanthropic community members. This inspiring event benefits the children and families of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The theme for this years gala is Beyond Tomorrow, highlighting innovation and cutting-edge medical care available at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital.

Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame Honoree Graca Machel with Nelson Mandela

This year the Foundation will induct a very special honoree into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame: Graca Machel, an African stateswoman and international humanitarian. Mrs. Machel has dedicated her life to improving the fate of women and children, inspiring hope and building a more just and equitable world for people everywhere.

Honorary Chairs Ravneet & Anand Chowdhury

The Hall of Fame, which is named for the hospital’s founder, recognizes individuals who are strong advocates for children’s causes and who work to ensure the health and well-being of children in South Florida and around the world. It is the highest honor bestowed by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation. Past honorees include: Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, John Walsh, Kelly Preston, Beyonc, Dwayne Wade, Barbara and Jack Nicklaus, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Gloria Gaynor, Juanes and Romero Britto.

Guests and celebrities will experience an elegant black-tie affair with a stylish cocktail soiree featuring entertainment and a silent auction. They will also hear emotional stories from children who have received life-saving care at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

The Diamond Ball Honorary Chairs are Ravneet and Anand Chowdhury, together with Co-Chairs Ricky and Arti Patel, and Stearns Weaver Miller. The premier signature event will pay tribute to grateful patients, world-class physicians, and generous philanthropists. Local 10 news anchor and Emmy-award winning reporter Laurie Jennings will serve at this years master of ceremonies.
