SocialSnapshot: Michele Reese Granger

The marketing director for HistoryMiami Museum speaks to us in her own words.

Michele Reese Granger is an Emmy-award winning news anchor with more than 20 years of communications experience. She currently serves as the marketing director of HistoryMiami Museum, the largest history museum in the state of Florida.  Reese Granger also runs her own marketing consulting firm, Granger Communications, offering public relations, marketing, and media consulting to an array of small business clients.

Earlier in her career, Reese Granger worked as a news anchor and reporter at various affiliates across the country interviewing a range of people from former presidents to prisoners on death row. Michele now utilizes her on air skills to train colleagues for media interviews, public speaking, and pitching stories to the press.

Reese Granger was named one of the industry’s 100 Top Women in PR by PR News in January 2020 and was named a Woman of Style and Substance by the South Florida Luxury Guide in 2018.

A community advocate, Reese Granger volunteers her time with the Arts and Business Council of Miami Dade and serves on the steering community of the Miami Arts Marketing Project. She is currently the Co- President of Beaux Arts, one of the oldest arts organizations in Miami. She is a past ball chair and board member of the Young Patronesses of Opera. Reese Granger was the founding president of the Young Patrons for the American Red Cross and past Party in Red Chair. She has also devoted time to Chapman Partnership as a Next Gen member and a two time co- chair of their annual spring fundraiser.

Born in Coral Gables, Reese Granger attended Ransom Everglades School before attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas.  She married Christopher Granger of Vancouver, Canada in March 2019 in Coral Gables.
