Voices For Children Foundation will celebrate its 30th anniversary at the “Be A Voice” Awards Luncheon, presented by Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson P.A., with the goal of raising funds to benefit Miami-Dade County’s foster children. Emceed by ABC Local 10 News Anchor Laurie Jennings, this event brings together approximately 500 guests including attorneys, judges, elected officials, community leaders, volunteers and supporters to recognize those individuals, corporations and organizations that have made a significant contribution in the area of child abuse and neglect in Miami-Dade County. Special recognition will be given to those who have been a voice to the children in our community time and again over the course of our 30 years.
Tickets for the “Be A Voice” Awards Luncheon are $150 per person or tables of ten for $1,500. Registration is requested no later than October 24. Call or email Renatha Amador at 305-324-5678 or RAmador@BeAVoice.org.
About Voices For Children Foundation
Voices For Children Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to help ensure that abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Miami-Dade County each have a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem and that financial assistance and other resources are available for their health, educational, and social needs. Guardians ad Litem are trained, court-appointed adults who serve as their representative voices in dependency court proceedings. Currently, over 3,000 children are in Miami-Dade County’s Foster Care system and only 68% of children are unrepresented by Guardians ad Litem. For more information, please visit www.BeAVoice.org.
