On Friday, November 16, celebrated community leaders will gather at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove for the annual ceremony. The event will begin at 11 a.m. with a cocktail reception. At 12:30 p.m., honorees and guests will enjoy a luncheon and the awards presentation.

“It is once again my honor to recognize the work of these hardworking and talented women in our community,” said Phillis Oeters, Spectrum Awards Chair and Lifetime Achievement Honoree. “I am proud to be part of the Red Cross tradition of celebrating women’s achievements in South Florida for the last 25 years, and to continue the long tradition of female empowerment and leadership that has been synonymous with the American Red Cross since it was founded by Clara Barton in 1881.”

“Spectrum” refers to women’s impact across the broad scope of community life as well as the diversity of cultures represented in the community. More than 400 people are expected to attend the awards ceremony, which will raise funds for the vital life-saving programs and services of the American Red Cross Greater Miami & The Keys Chapter. These leadership awards acknowledge the humanitarian principles of the American Red Cross: Humanity, Impartiality, Independence, Unity, Neutrality and Voluntary Service.
