Children’s Resources will host the 34th Annual Gala Musical Ball, a glamorous evening beginning with a cocktail party, where you can enjoy an elegant jazz ensemble or be part of a trendy flash mob performance, all the while bidding on Silent Auction items like weekend getaways, gorgeous jewelry, designer evening bags and a state of the art 42” LED flat-screen television. Dinner will be a five course menu, followed by a performance by the Music Theater Department of Montclair State University in New Jersey. Put on your dancing shoes and fly with the high energy melodies from Broadway and Hollywood, from Footloose to Memphis and the Miami Sound Machine. Steve Chase’s Orchestra will also entertain throughout the evening. During the evening Isabel May will be honored. Tickets are $500 and up and will enable Children’s Resources’ to continue providing early intervention services and programs for children with developmental disabilities. The event is chaired by Peggy & Joseph Armaly, Sue & Michael Hightower, Cammie & Cary Monroe, and Hildine and Jerry Potashnick
About Children’s Resources
Children’s Resources is a non-profit 501(C)(3) Preschool and Elementary, dedicated to enhancing the learning potential and life skills of children with developmental delays and of those who have been abused and/or neglected. We also offer support in the form of seminars and trainings to their families.
Children’s Resources campus in South Dade is funded by the generosity of its members and friends. We serve over a 100 children ages 18 months to 8 years old with a wide range of developmental delays, including but not limited to, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Apraxia, Attention Deficit Disorder, just to name a few. We strive to provide the children that attend our center with educational, therapeutic programs and services to help them reach their fullest potential.
The goal of Children’s Resources is to continue to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs. With the help of donations from supporters such as you, we will be able to continue to offer a safe haven; a place where children are loved and respected and are given the tools they need to lead safe and healthy lives that are predicated on personal development, human dignity and self-direction.
