This year, Children’s Resources will be celebrating 36 years of service and commitment to children with special needs with our musical gala. The event will take place at the glamorous Four Seasons Hotel with cocktails at 7 p.m. and dinner to follow. Guests will be entertained by the volunteer performers from Mont Clair State University Theater Department as well as the lively and energetic Soul Survivors Orchestra.

Lynn Girsh serves as the gala’s Honorary Chairman for her remarkable contributions to improve the lives of the children that attend the Lynn & Mike Girsh Elementary School, and special thanks go to the CarMax Foundation for their generosity in building a state of the art playground on the Children’s Resources Campus to benefit children with special needs.

About the Children’s Resources

Children’s Resources is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) Preschool and Elementary, dedicated to enhancing the learning potential and life skills of children with developmental delays and of those who have been abused and/or neglected. We also offer support in the form of seminars and trainings to their families.

Children’s Resources campus in South Dade is funded by the generosity of its members and friends. We serve over a 100 children ages 18 months to fifth grade with a wide range of developmental delays, including but not limited to, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Apraxia, Attention Deficit Disorder, just to name a few. We strive to provide the children that attend our center with educational, therapeutic programs and services to help them reach their fullest potential.

The goal of Children’s Resources is to continue to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs. With the help of donations from supporters such as you, we will be able to continue to offer a safe haven; a place where children are loved and respected and are given the tools they need to lead safe and healthy lives that are predicated on personal development, human dignity and self-direction.
