Lea Black Talks Fashion’s Night Out
Social star to attend Village of Merrick Park event
The Village of Merrick Park will host an official Fashion’s Night Out event on Thursday, September 8th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. We asked Lea Black from the Real Housewives of Miami to tell us a little bit about her excitement for the big night and what she is looking forward to finding at the Village of Merrick Park.
Q: Why do you think it is important to have Fashion’s Night Out, a night dedicated to the appreciation and celebration of fashion?
A: I think Fashion’s Night Out is a very important event because it gives the industry something exciting for everyone to look forward to. FNO is an event for both retailers and shoppers to enjoy. It’s our responsibility as consumers to be well informed and know what fashion options are out there. We must always support our local retailers. Many of my friends would like to have Fashion’s Night Out 365 days a year.
Q: Which stores do you most commonly go to at the Village of Merrick Park?
A: I love the fine jewelry at Neiman Marcus! Donald J Pliner because I love Donald and of course comfortable shoes! Loro Piana because my friend and styling expert Ara works there (go see him!) Jimmy Choo – love their open toe pumps… and of course what’s a shopping experience without H.Stern’s beautiful jewelry? I love BIG standout pieces.
Q: What are you looking forward to on Fashion’s Night Out at the Village of Merrick Park?
A: From what I hear the Village of Merrick Park has a lot of exciting things in store for the big evening! I am really looking forward to seeing what all the stores are doing for this special night. I also love meeting and greeting all of the fashion professionals and friendly shoppers that frequent the Village of Merrick Park.
Q: What do you feel sets the Village of Merrick Park aside from other shopping centers that you go to?
A:.The Village of Merrick Park is both beautiful and user-friendly. They have valet parking, great restaurants and fabulous stores – all within a breathtaking setting. I love that there is beautiful landscaping, fountains and trees – a real Coral Gables vibe. The best part is that there’s something for everyone there no matter what you are looking for… And did I mention the estate jewelry at Neiman Marcus?
Q: What Fall fashion item will you be shopping for at the Village of Merrick Park’s Fashion’s Night Out?
A: Great jeans – and maybe a bobble or two.
Q: In your opinion what is a “must-have” piece that all women should be shopping for this Fashion’s Night Out?
A: Beautiful fitting jeans boots and of course, a 10 karat plus D flawless on your finger – any finger!
