The Annual Reach for the Stars Gala Auction is a signature event in the South Florida calendar celebrating its 20th year. Guests will have the chance to bid on over $350,000 worth of live and silent auction items while enjoying dinner provided by 30 of Coral Gables’ finest restaurants and caterers with an open bar sponsored by Bacardi, U.S.A. and Premier Beverage Co. Items for bid include international business class airline tickets, worldwide hotel travel packages and cruises, exclusive celebrity wine dinners at popular South Florida restaurants, jewelry, golf packages, sports collectors items, spa visits, couture clothing, and membership gift certificates.

All proceeds will benefit Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Funds are used to support educational outreach programs for youth and to match grants for capital improvements of the historic Miracle Theatre.

Lexus of Kendall is the presenting sponsor of this year’s event, together with Platinum Sponsors, Air Berlin and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.

Tickets for this black-tie-optional evening are $150 per person. Gala Sponsorships are $2,000 and include donor acknowledgement and 20 tickets. VIP Sponsorships are available for $1,000 and include donor acknowledgement and 10 tickets. Auction items will be on the web site at www.actorsplayhouse.org after January 2011. Actors’ Playhouse is the equity nonprofit resident theatre company and managing agent of the historic Miracle Theatre. Under the leadership of Founding Executive Producing Director Barbara S. Actors’ Playhouse is pleased to announce its expansive and exciting 2010-2011 season, which will include the world premiere play The Color of Desire by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz (October 6 – November 7, 2010), the Tony Award-winning Oliver! by Lionel Bart (November 17 – Decvember 26, 2010), the Tony Award-winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with music and lyrics by William Finn, book by Rachel Sheinkin and conceived by Rebecca Feldman (January 19 – February 13, 2011), The South Florida regional premiere of the Tony Award and Pulitizer Prize-winning play by Tracy Letts, August: Osage County (March 9 – April 10, 2011), the Tony Award-winning play Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps adapted by Patrick Barlow (May 11 – June 5, 2011), and the world premiere of a sassy new musical by Maribeth Graham and Dana P. Rowe called See Jane Run! (July 13 – August 14, 2011).

Actors’ Playhouse is a Florida Presenting Cultural Organization and one of twenty-two major cultural institutions in Miami Dade County.
