Planned by the Love and Hope Committee, a group of devoted women under the leadership of Life Chairman Sonja Zuckerman and Executive Chairman Sandra Levy, this magnificent black-tie gala begins with a lavish cocktail reception. The excitement continues as guests enter the Great Hall for dinner, live music, dancing, a silent auction, and much more.
Though admittance to the Love and Hope Ball is by invitation only, you can request to be added to the invitation list by calling the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation at 954-964-4040. Tickets begin at $600 per person. More information about the Foundation is available by visiting www.DiabetesResearch.org.
About Love and Hope
Love and Hope is an integral fundraising group for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, which was created in 1971 by a small group of parents of children with diabetes – parents committed to finding a cure for this devastating disease.
Driven by hope and fueled by the need to end their children’s suffering, they banded together to support a promising research program at the University of Miami solely aimed at curing those living with diabetes.
Today, the DRI Foundation is the organization of choice for those who are serious, passionate and committed to finding a cure for their loved ones and millions of others with diabetes.
About the Diabetes Research Institute
The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) is the organization of choice for those who are serious, passionate and committed to curing diabetes. Its mission is to provide the Diabetes Research Institute with the funding necessary to cure diabetes now. The Diabetes Research Institute leads the world in cure-focused research. As the largest and most comprehensive research center dedicated to curing diabetes, the DRI is aggressively working to shrink the timeline toward the discovery of a biological cure for this disease. Having already shown that diabetes can be reversed through islet transplantation, the DRI is building upon these promising outcomes by bridging cell-based therapies with emerging technologies. The Diabetes Research Institute was created for one reason – to cure diabetes – which is and will continue to be its singular focus until that goal is reached. For the millions of people affected by diabetes, the DRI is the best hope for a cure.
