Destination Fashion and Art for Life Miami Beach
As the Miami social season moves ever-closer to its conclusion, Allison Weiss Brady was on the scene with a few primetime events. March came in like a lion with Destination Fashion, followed by a fashion show hosted by Jayne Abess, Yolanda Berkowitz and Priya Panjabi. And last, but certainly not least, Allison co-chaired Russell and Danny Simmons’ Art for Life Miami Beach at the Fontainebleau. Art for Life Miami Beach
Kim Kardashian (pictured at left) hosted Russell Simmons’, Danny Simmons’ and Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation‘s second annual Art for Life Miami Beach gala at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The evening of glamour and giving was held in celebration of the creative energy of New York and South Florida youth and honored Anheuser-Busch, the Rubell Family Collection and Chairman of Fontainebleau Resorts, Jeffrey Soffer. A surprised Alonzo Mourning was recognized for his positive impact on the lives of children and his community through his philanthropic endeavors of Alonzo Mourning Charities. A bevy of celebrities were in attendance including New Orleans Saint Reggie Bush, actress Vivica Fox, George Hamilton, former Mexican President Vicente Fox and his wife Marta Fox, Miss Africa USA 2008-2009 Nyasha Zimucha and legendary soul singer Betty Wright.
Green Room Society
The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County re-launched the Green Room Society, its young patrons group, during a cocktail party at Mondrian, a Morgan Hotel in South Beach. 300 supporters joined the Green Room Society to kick-off a new year of programming and philanthropic initiatives that support the arts.
