Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will celebrate tropical summers with the juiciest event: The International Mango Festival. Enjoy two days of the King of Tropical Fruit with lectures, cooking demonstrations and tips to keep your mango trees thriving. Pick up a trick from local chefs at a cooking demonstration, shop artisan vendors or pick up delicious foods from local vendors, sample refreshing brews perfect for Summer. On Saturday at 2 p.m. become a “Mango Master” at a special event that follows a formal wine tasting format, taking you through the flavor profiles of each mango, led by Curator of Tropical Fruit, Dr. Noris Ledesma. The mangos will be paired with select wines and cheese to compliment your palette! (Members $40; non-members $50). And on Sunday at 11 a.m.the famed Annual Mango Brunch, a tasty tribute to the most delicious of tropical fruits. Join some of South Florida’s greatest chefs as they prepare their best mango dishes for you. (Members $100; non-members $125). Tickets for festival admission are adults $25, seniors $18, children 6 to 17 $12, children 5 and under and Fairchild members free.
