Thoughts On Democracy
More than 250 members and friends of The Wolfsonian-FIU attended the opening preview of two new exhibits: Thoughts On Democracy and A Bittersweet Decade: The New Deal in America, 1933-43. Thoughts on Democracy is comprised of 80 posters created by sixty leading contemporary artists and designers from around the world, who were invited by the museum to reinterpret American illustrator Norman Rockwell’s “Four Freedoms” posters of 1943. The posters were recently gifted to the museum by Leonard A. Lauder. Displayed in the museum’s lobby, this exhibit is free and open to the public during museum hours.
