Morton’s The Steakhouse celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Miami Beach by hosting nearly 400 guests to a special evening benefiting the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The restaurant held a silent auction that raised more than $3,800 for the organization, South Florida’s only university-based cancer center and the hub for cancer-related research, diagnosis and treatment at the UM Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Jerry Goodwin, executive director of Sylvester joined Miami Beach Commissioner Ed Tobin in the ceremonial ribbon cutting for the restaurant’s seventh location in South Florida at 4041 Collins Avenue.
