Beaux Arts Celebrates its 69th Annual Costume Ball
More than 200 guests were greeted by Grecian themed décor at the magical Thalatta Estate.
Beaux Arts celebrated its 69th annual costume ball Saturday, October 16th at the magical Thalatta Estate. With a continuance of fun and revelry, Beaux Arts returned Miami’s oldest costume ball with a Sirens, Muses, and Legends theme chaired by Amber Seidle Lazo and Francesca Valdes. More than 200 guests were greeted by Grecian themed décor on a sprawling four-acre estate with stunning water views. Guests enjoyed cocktails sponsored by Bacardi and wine by Republic National Distributing company and danced the night away to the Marcia Mitchell Band. The event was emceed by Emmy winning news anchor Cynthia Demos and President and CEO of the Coral Gables Chamber Mark Trowbridge. The costume contest, a highlight of the event, featured mermaids, gods and goddesses, and a group dressed as Maleficent that took home first prize. Funds raised from the night support Beaux Arts art programs for students in underserved communities and the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami.
