FGO’s upcoming 83rd Anniversary Gala, celebrating 83 years of operatic history on National Opera Day is sure to surpass last year’s sold-out gala!  Representing aligned missions of history, culture, and art, FGO envisions A Vintage Affair focused on wine, glamour and luxury. Imagine walking into a beautiful cocktail hour inspired by an old-world wine tasting room.  Guests will enjoy wine brands that have all been around for at least 100 years or more and spirits provided by the FIU Bacardi Center of Excellence featuring Bacardi brands.  To the side, guests embark on a Wall of Wine experience.  Later, guests will enter a dark room, illuminated by amber light where they will enjoy a four-course meal with specially paired wines by a master sommelier.  Suddenly, Gala guests hear the sounds of Kirill Ritcher, world renowned composer and pianist, playing his composition Mechanisms, surrounded by a silk screen digitally mapped with turning gears like the inside of a watch.  Setting the stage and beginning a series of performances that will excite and engage audiences the rest of the evening, in what is sure to be a Vintage Affair that will Unmask Glamour and allow Gala guests to experience La Dolce Vita!
