Flamenco tradition and contemporary expression meet in a performance shaped by memory, inheritance and personal interpretation. La Velada: An Alchemy of Past and Present takes place Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Produced by Spain Flamenco Arts, the performance is presented by the City of Aventura, FUNDarte and Miami-Dade County Auditorium as part of the FL.Flamencos series.

Created and performed by Marta Gálvez, La Velada reflects on the legacy of flamenco and the artists who have carried the form across generations. The work transforms inherited movement, rhythm and memory into a contemporary language rooted in flamenco history while speaking from the present moment.
