On November 9, 1938, throughout Germany and Austria, 267 synagogues were burned, 7,500 Jewish-owned businesses were destroyed, 91 Jews were killed and 30,000 Jewish men, mostly young and healthy, were thrown into concentration camps. Join the South Florida community in remembering The Night of of Broken Glass. Speakers include Yad Vashem scholar Sheryl Silver Ochayon and Herbert Karliner, an eyewitness to Kristallnacht. The event is free and open to all. In case of rain, the event will be moved to Temple Beth Sholom at 4144 Chase Avenue, Miami Beach.
