Miami Lighthouse Receives Grant
Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired CEO Virginia Jacko receives a check from the American Optometric Association (AOA). The grant was awarded through AOA’s 2011 Healthy Eyes Healthy People® Community Grant Program and will be used to create tri-lingual brochures and educational material about the importance of early intervention and eye examinations for children, targeting parents, school officials and community leaders.
