City Year Beautifies Miami Gardens School

City Year Miami mobilized hundreds of South Florida residents, business leaders and elected officials who rolled up their sleeves and spent the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday working to spruce up Myrtle Grove K-8 Center in Miami Gardens. Among the dedicated volunteers were partners, The Miami Dolphins, Volunteer Florida, Calder Casino, The City of Miami Gardens and others. Their efforts were part of the 8th Annual MLK Day of Service with volunteers painting murals, building picnic tables, and planting gardens at the school. It’s all part of City Year’s mission to target the national dropout crisis.
