Mission Statement

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is an international Jewish human rights organization that confronts anti-Semitism, hate and terrorism, promotes human rights and human dignity, stands with Israel, defends the safety of Jews worldwide, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust for future generations.

With a constituency of over 400,000 households in the United States, it is accredited as an NGO at international organizations including the United Nations, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the Simon Wiesenthal Center maintains offices in New York, Miami, Toronto, Jerusalem, Paris, and Buenos Aires.

The Center’s Southern office represents the Simon Wiesenthal Center in the Southern Region of the United States and promotes and supports the Center’s mission. The Southern office furthers the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s mission through outreach, education, social action and media projects.

Extensive activities and programs are offered throughout the Southern Region including:
Tribute dinners honoring community leaders
Film premieres and screenings from the Center’s two-time Academy Award™- winning Moriah Films division

Special lectures and forums:
Advancing tolerance, justice, human rights and dignity

The Southern Region promotes the educational arms of the Simon Wiesenthal Center through its Museum of Tolerance Los Angeles, Museum of Tolerance New York and soon-to-be built Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem. Funds raised by the Southern Region help support the critical work of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and all of its divisions around the world.
