Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts Celebrates its 5th Anniversary

At an elegant black tie event, Miami’s arts patrons, philanthropists, and business and civic leaders celebrated the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts’ fifth season in style with a special performance by Broadway performer and four-time Tony Award-nominee Raúl Esparza.

Guests enjoyed cocktails in the Arthur and Alice Adams Foundation Lobby as the Center’s newly-engraved donor wall was unveiled and dedicated. Dinner was a lavish affair, created especially for the event by Barton G. Weiss’ Performing Arts Catering, held on the Lynn Wolfson Stage in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House. Following dinner guests were treated to a musical set performed by Miami native Raúl Esparza, who most recently wowed Miami audiences in the summer 2010 run of BABALU. The evening concluded with a spectacular display of desserts and dancing.

Joining this year’s Gala Honorary Chairwoman Adrienne Arsht will be Chairs Margaret and Mike Eidson and Marvin Ross Friedman and Adrienne bon Haes. Co-chairs include Ana and Rob Barlick, Trish and Dan Bell, Nancy Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey H. Loria, and Penny and Roe Stamps.

Proceeds from the Gala will support the Center’s mission-driven arts education and community outreach programs.
