Former NBC 6 anchor Jennifer Valoppi served as Mistress of Ceremonies of the event, which was chaired by Miami and Palm Beach philanthropists Brenda and Robert Castellano and featured singing of the national anthem by CBS 4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez.

One of the evening’s highlights was the announcement of the winner of a new 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350 Cabriolet. Guests also participated in drawings for a 10-14-night European cruise for two from Azamara Cruises and a $5,000 shopping spree at Neiman Marcus Coral Gables.
