An Evening of Love, Bollywood Style
Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the Lori Brener Scholarship Fund
Guests of Big Brothers Big Sisters celebrated Bollywood-style way at the exciting Private Key Club in Wynwood Art District to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Lori Brener Scholarship Fund. More than 200 enjoyed cocktails and a dinner buffet by Chef Les, bid on luxurious items in the silent auction and danced the night away to the sounds of Silent Revolution. Julia Alba was Chair with Sonia Gibson and Miriam Salazar serving as Co-Chairs, and Neyda Raola and Susan Rutrough as chairs of the auction. The evening honored Darrin Smith, a former “Little” of the program and now a Big Brother, who is National Ambassador for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Smith is in the UM Football Hall of Fame and is a two-time Super Bowl Champion. Since its inception, the Lori Brener Scholarship Fund, a project of The Women’s Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters, has awarded 17 scholarships to deserving Little’s who are now pursuing their educational goals at various universities.
