Art Week Newsletter – Friday
Art Miami 2014
Art Miami is the Magic City’s oldest art fair, celebrating its 25th year of bringing art to Miami. Now, under the direction of Nick Korniloff and Pamela Cohen, Art Miami has become one of Art Week’s most prestigious fairs, rivaled only by Art Basel itself. This year’s fair benefits the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), dedicating its VIP opening to the museum.
In this piece, we hear from collectors Robert and Diane Moss, Marvin Ross Friedman, Ira and Roni Elegant, and Arnold Mittelman. We also learn from PAMM director, Thom Collins, about why Art Miami is tops on his list of Art Week fairs. Additionally, we receive insight from Venice Biennial artist, Victor Matthews, Ocean Drive magazine founder turned artist, Jerry Powers, and wood sculptor, Randall Rosenthal.
