Bank Of America Presents City Year Miami $200,000
As it has been done year after year, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation supports non-profit organizations whose work builds vibrant, strong communities. Market President for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, Gene Schaefer presented the Neighborhood Excellence Builder award to City Year Miami. Saif Ishoof, Esq., Executive Director, and other City Year Miami employees accepted the award comprised of $200,000 in operating support and leadership development training, recognizes, nurtures and rewards community-based organizations working to improve their communities by addressing critical needs in areas such as education and community development. As a Neighborhood Builder, City Year Miami is recognized for the role they play in improving the quality of life and opportunities for the children and families they serve. The Bank of America program also strengthens the capacity and leadership development of City Year Miami executives. In exchange, Bank of American is recognized by City Year Miami as a Team Sponsor for Miami Southridge High School. A diverse team of 8-12 corporate members represent the bank as they dedicate a year of their lives to serving their community and developing the skills to become active citizens and civic leaders.
