Celebrate Miami Children’s Museum’s 5th anniversary with a night of Good times and Rock ’n’ Roll at the museum’s Be a Kid Again Gala. Themed the Funtastic Fifties, this year’s event takes you on a magical journey to the “Happy Days” of sock hops, drive-in movies, cool music, Elvis and the golden age of television. Explore the museum’s 14 galleries transformed to take you back to simpler times. Co-Chairs Carlos Garcia, Norma Quintero and Jana Sigars-Malina have planned an evening that will keep you rockin’ with delectable food and drink, music, entertainment and an incredible silent auction.

A major source of funding for MCM’s cultural programs comes from its annual Be a Kid Again Gala. Community donations account for 35 percent of MCM’s operating budget, and the Be a Kid Again Gala is a vital aspect for raising the funds. Plus, it’s not a typical gala. It’s a big, blown out cocktail party. Adults get to come in and explore the museum as if they were kids again. So, come out for a fun evening and help Miami Children’s Museum raise the funds that allow for MCM to be a child’s first cultural experience. For more information, or to buy tickets, call 305-373-KIDS (5437), Ext. 127.

Tickets are $250 per person or in “Play Groups” of ten for $2,000.
