The American Nicaraguan Foundation (ANF) hosted its 20th Anniversary Gala benefitting the fight against poverty in the neediest sectors of Nicaragua last Saturday. The black tie Gala was held at the InterContinental Hotel in Downtown Miami and included live entertainment, a lavish live auction, and guest MC Diana Diaz of WSVN 7.

It was a beautiful and elegant affair hosted by Mrs. Theresa C. Pellas and Mrs. Gabriela Terán which included a VIP two hour cocktail sponsored by Flor de Caña and a three course dinner in the grand ballroom. The gala was enjoyed by over 500 guests, including Pam Giganti from NBC 6, Frank Robleto of BAC Florida, and Mr. Juan Wong, Jr. of Los Ranchos to name a few.

Tickets, sponsorships, donations, and the live and silent auctions combined raised over $960,000, which includes an anonymous donation of 200k for The American Nicaraguan Foundation. Proceeds of the gala fund programs for clean water, healthcare, building homes, and education to the children of the greatest poverty stricken areas of Nicaragua.
