Elizabeth Resnick catches up with a fashionable crowd at Bar Bevy
Mostly Moms, an organization created and run by New York jewelry designer Morgan Shara, hosted over 70 of Miami’s most fashionable and truly A-listers at Bar Bevy. Bar Bevy is restaurateur Dave Grutman’s swanky lounge and bar above the posh restaurant Swan Miami in the Miami Design District.
Mostly Moms has entered the local Miami Mom scene as an opportunity for women to get dressed, stop thinking about their children for a couple hours and have true Girls’ Nights Out! Originated in NYC in 2015, the Mostly Moms events have a goal “to create a close knit community of magical, like minded females,” states Shara. This month’s theme was a Galentine’s takeover and women were encouraged to dress in red and the fashion was over the top. Fashionistas in attendance included Katy Stoka carrying a Valentino clutch in shiny black Commando pants, and shoes by Tom Ford. Becky Cohen rocked the runway with a Christian Dior dress and a Chanel clutch. Brooke Rosenfeld was dolled up in Fendi and Nicole Simkins rocked acid wash jeans from Veronica Beard. Other guests included Famous choreographer for Pitbull and Marlins, Kristin Decesear, Kristine Handy, Lisa Rosenhaus, Dana Shear, and Jillian Jacobson. Cohosts along with Shara included Megan Murphy-Bratich, head of Hey Mama Miami, a social and professional community created to propel mothers forward in work and life, Alana Radmin Oxfeld of State of Kid, and myself. The room was decorated with balloon and floral decor by Sheer Gos of Balloons4you. Guests enjoyed ricotta ravioli and Hamachi tartar courtesy of Swan. At the end of the evening, candles were brought out to a table full of decadent cakes and cupcakes from Yarden Weiss of the famed Miami bakery Frudeco. The theme was to celebrate Capricorn and Aquarius Birthdays while dancing the night away with DJ Aria.
