Cancer Link: “Stars in Pink”

A record number of 700 guests attended the Cancer Link “Stars in Pink” luncheon & auction to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
One of the city’s largest benefits for breast cancer research, the luncheon at Jungle Island raised over $150,000 for research to find better treatments and a cure for breast cancer.
The luncheon’s highlight was a fashion extravaganza featuring the Mayda Cisneros Couture Collection.
Marlene Berg, Founder and Chairman, along with her Presidents, Norma Jean Abraham, Virginia Praschnik and Co-Chairmen Harriet Shapiro, Linda Leeds, Susan Kaufman, Cathy Bayer, Melanie Cherdack, Ana Trejos, Sondra Marcus, Sherry Bernstein, Debbie Deutch, Ellen Genet, Iliette Oliveros, Bonnie Sepe, Maria Rogers & Lourdes Rosell shared their conviction that “every dollar raised brings us closer to conquering this disease.”
