Candace Bushnell Appears at Books & Books, Coral Gables

The Ultimate Girls Night Out Happens this week, and comes with cocktails and sex talk.

Is there still sex in the city?

We certainly hope so, but will reveal all when SocialMiami editor moderates a conversation with New York Times best-selling author Candace Bushnell this Friday at Books & Books in Coral Gables.  They’ll discuss her new book, IS THERE STILL SEX IN THE CITY?, which is about sex and dating after age 50.

In standard Sex & the City style, the evening will begin with a cocktail hour include a chat with the author and a signing. The $40 admission price gets you everything – a seat, a specialty drink and your book for Bushnell to sign.

Critically acclaimed Bushnell this time follows a cohort of female friends―Sassy, Kitty, Queenie, Tilda Tia, Marilyn, and Candace―as they navigate the ever-modernizing phenomena of midlife dating and relationships. Her previous titles include Sex and the City, Lipstick Jungle, The Carrie Diaries, One Fifth Avenue, Trading Up, Four Blondes, Summer and the City and Killing Monica. Sex and the City, published in 1996, was the basis for the HBO hit series and two subsequent blockbuster movies. Lipstick Jungle became a popular television series on NBC, as did The Carrie Diaries on the CW.

SocialMiami’s editor Graff has been a journalist covering money, power and people for more than two decades, having contributed to Glamour, Maxim, Redbook and Good Housekeeping. She’s a former U.S. government economist, Reuters correspondent, and she wrote the book, Not Buying It: Stop Overspending and Start Raising Happier, Healthier, More Successful Kids.
