Enjoy Dinner, Music and Dancing at the Family Resource Center of South Florida’s “Children’s Hero Award Gala.” Established in 2009, the Children’s Hero Award honors a community leader who has shown incredible foresight and leadership in providing services and access to those youth who have suffered child abuse and neglect in Miami-Dade. This year, Family Resource Center will present the award to Citrus Health Network’s President & CEO, Mario Jardon, for his creation of a high quality health system that provides critical behavioral and emotional services to children in the foster care system.
From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., sip on a signature Children’s Hero Cocktail while you check out a one-of-a-kind silent auction called Trips, Travel & Leisure. This auction will feature an amazing array of getaways here and abroad, as well as sports tickets, spa pampering and fine dining. Make sure to snag something fabulous. From there, enjoy an elegant three-course dinner and a whirl around the dance floor.
All proceeds generated from the evening will go towards providing hundreds of newborns, toddlers, adolescents and teens with the shelter, food, medical and mental health care that they need due to experiencing abuse, neglect and abandonment by their parents.
