Adamar Fine Art presents Alex Katz

With more than 200 solo exhibitions attributed to the artist, it is surprising that Face to Face will be the first ever solo show of Katz’s work in Miami.

Rising to the challenge of presenting Katz is Tamar Erdberg, owner and director of Adamar Fine Arts in the Miami Design District. Erdberg has been in the gallery business for over 25 years and has honed a program that embraces contemporary masters with a focus on Pop Art. Katz fits right in, as his work is a pre-curser to the Pop-Art movement that has become an integral part of art history, particularly American art history.

Design District Social – February Recap

The Design District had some wonderful events in February. Featured in this latest Design District photo gallery are the Locust Project’s One Night Stand 15 Year Block Party, a chic Duncan Quinn and Zacapa Rum event at the Duncan Quinn pop-up shop that was once the double-decker bus outside of Churchills, and a lecture about artist Carlos Alfonzo at the De La Cruz Collection.

When we asked Patricia Engel for personal mottos she shared the one above, instantly it was all cemented — keen observer, wordsmith, author, professor, wise soul.

Engel calls Miami home, Key Biscayne to be exact. Her first book, Vida was a triumph and now as we await her second book we thought now would be a good time to check in with the Design District ambassador.
