Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce will host its Second Annual Holiday Gala, honoring the accomplishments of Black professionals and businesses in the South Florida community.
The event is expected to draw 1000 attendees to honor Tom Joyner from the # 1 rated Tom Joyner Morning Show, who will receive the “Hero to Black Business Award;” R. Donahue Peebles, President, The Peebles Corporation, named “Business Man of the Year;” and Yvette Miley, Vice President of News, WTVJ/NBC-6, recognized as “Corporate Executive of the Year.”
The cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m., and dinner and the award ceremony is at 8:30 p.m., followed by the After-Party at 9:30 featuring the “Old School R&B” music group, Midnight Star.
Sponsors are Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, Macy’s, BlueCross BlueShield of Florida, Royal Caribbean, Ocean Bank, Macy’s, Dolphin Stadium and Burger King.
