Dressing the Period: Costumes for Anna Karenina

On April 28 at 7:00, Florida Grand Opera (FGO) presents the world premiere of Anna Karenina, an opera from American composer David Carlson, in the Ziff Ballet Opera House at Miami’s Carnival Center of the Performing Arts. The libretto is by acclaimed British stage director Colin Graham, and FGO music director Stewart Robertson conducts the new production.

Anna Karenina will be sung in English with both English and Spanish projected translations. Additional performances in Miami will be on May 2, 5, 8 and 11 at 8:00 p.m. and on May 13 at 2:00 p.m.

The stunning costumes are designed by Robert Perdziola. This award-winning designer has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious companies in America and Europe.
