The 2016 American Cancer Society

Gala will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. Over 800 influential leaders from Miami’s social and corporate communities will gather for a night of elegance, exquisite food, and live entertainment. The cocktail reception and silent auction will start at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing at 8:30 p.m.

The 2016 Gala Chairs will be Ana Ortega and her daughter, Ana Mari Ortega; Co-Chair Pepe Freixas; and Honorary Chairs Christina and David Martin. The evening’s honorees will be Lilliam and Gus Machado and key supporters, including Remedios and Fausto Diaz Oliver, Marile and Jorge Luis Lopez, Munilla Family Foundation, Baptist Health South Florida, the Sarria Family Foundation and others.

The exciting silent auction will feature items such as airline tickets, jewelry, golf packages, ports collector’s items, spa packages and couture fashion. During the live auction guests will be challenged to raise money to help Finish the Fight against cancer. From its beginning, the American Cancer Society has been the leading force in the fight against cancer. After 102 years, they can envision the end of cancer as we know it – from deadly to treatable, from curable to preventable. One hundred years ago, we began the fight of a lifetime. Now it’s time to finish it!
