2019, Charity & Social Events, Gala Guide, Save the dateFriends of South Florida Autism, Inc., a non-profit organization that raises funds for the benefit of South Florida Autism Charter Schools (SFACS), South Florida Autism Center (SFA-Center) and The Villages of South Florida Autism (VSFA), will host its 2019 Ray of Hope Gala at Jungle Island’s Bloom Ballroom.
The evening will kickoff with a cocktail reception beginning at 7 p.m., followed by a seated dinner with music and dancing. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on an array of items in the silent auction and live auction.
The Ray of Hope Gala is being chaired by Vivian Mir, aided by a gala committee that includes: Yamilet Blanco, Yvette Blanco, Erika Duque, Sandra Figueredo, Deisy Flores, Susana Giolito, Karin Gongee, Leiry Guevara, Miriam Ochoa, Dr. Cicily Payne-Nestor, Francoise Pratt, Jodie Rozencwaig and Elaine Vazquez.
Individual tickets are $250, and tables of ten are available for $2,500. Sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. Proceeds will go towards the Capital Campaign in support of the state-of-the-art facility that will include a school building for 300 SFACS students and a community outreach building for South Florida Autism Center, Inc., which will offer programs and services for individuals and families affected by Autism who reside in South Florida.
About Friends of South Florid Autism, Inc.
SFACS opened its program in 2009 with 81 students in kindergarten through 8th Grade, all diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The goal of the School Founder’s and Governing Board is to serve all individuals with ASD and their families in the South Florida region and they formed South Florida Autism Center, Inc. (SFA-Center) in order to provide expanded services. The grand opening for the SFACS / SFA-CENTER campus will take place in the summer of 2020. Programs include: K-12 charter school, early intervention, therapy clinic, adult programming and job placement, out-of-school services, and a family fitness center.
The mission of Friends of South Florida Autism is to provide support to South Florida Autism Charter School, South Florida Autism Center, and The Villages of South Florida Autism so that they may fulfill their missions of assisting individuals diagnosed with Autism who reside in South Florida.
