About Kristi House

Kristi House provides children and their families with proven, evidence-based mental health interventions and wraparound services which enable them to get past the trauma and go on with their lives. In most cases, children and youth who complete treatment with Kristi House emerge stronger than ever.

Operating the nationally accredited, State-designated Children’s Advocacy Center for Miami-Dade County, Kristi House is responsible for coordinating the eight community partners involved in the investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse cases. Kristi House assists children and families in navigating the complex systems involved in healing the victims and holding perpetrators responsible. All services are provided 100% free of charge.

Fifteen years ago Kristi House established the first program in Miami for sex trafficked youth. Project GOLD (Girls Owning their Lives and Dreams), serves girls overcoming commercial sexual exploitation and operates two Drop-In Centers dedicated to trafficked girls.

Generous individual and corporate donors and foundation grantors help children transform from victim to survivor. Thanks to a strong community of supporters and partners, Kristi House is honored to be a national leader in serving children overcoming trauma.
