Dance, drink and be spooked at the Gilded-Age Estate of James Deering and support the preservation efforts of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.

When Vizcaya mixes “outlandish” costumes with a breathtaking sunset view of Biscayne Bay, you can expect to have a memorable experience. For the 29th year in a row, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens will host its Halloween Sundowner on the magnificent museum grounds. Joy Taylor, co-host of Miami’s sports talk radio show, “The Ticket,” will emcee and host the Sundowner’s annual Outrageous Costume Contest, crowning Best Male, Best Female and Best Group Costumes.

The Halloween extravaganza will feature entertainment with bayfront music from Miami’s own Spam Allstars, along with DJ A-Train spinning your favorites. There will be five open bars provided by Bacardi, and, upon arrival, guests will be served Bacardi’s specialty drink, “The Dirty Deering.” Premiere Beverage, Bogle Vineyards, Michael David Winery, Wynwood Brewing and Biscayne Bay Brewing Company will complete the bars, and delicious treats will be provided by Whole Foods, the Crepe Maker, Catering by Loveables and others.

General Admission tickets start at $140 for members and $165 for non-members, and a limited number of $250 VIP tickets available for inner-courtyard access with private bar, specialty drink and catered food. Tickets can be purchased online at www.VizcayaHalloween.org. Guests must be 21 and over to attend the event. Event will be held rain or shine, and tickets are non-refundable. Free parking is available across the street at the Frost Museum of Science.
About Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a National Historic Landmark that preserves the Miami estate of agricultural industrialist James Deering to engage our community and its visitors in learning through the arts, history and the environment. Built between 1914 and 1922, Vizcaya is one of the most intact remaining examples from this era in United States history, when the nation’s most successful entrepreneurs built lavish estates inspired by the stately homes of Europe.

Vizcaya features a Main House, 10 acres of formal gardens, a rockland hammock (native forest), mangrove shore, the Vizcaya Café and Shop presented by A Joy Wallace Catering, Design and Special Events, and a historic village that will be restored for additional venues for programs and community outreach. Located at 3251 South Miami Avenue, between Brickell Avenue and Coconut Grove, Vizcaya is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
