Every year, the Department of Instrumental Performance sponsors the prestigious Frost Honor Bands Festival, attracting 200 talented high school instrumentalists from across Florida. During their two-day visit to the University of Miami campus, the students participate in rehearsals, master classes, and a final concert. This year’s program includes music by Husa, Reed, and Holst. Gary Green, guest conductor; Craig McKenzie, guest conductor; and Robert Carnochan, festival host, director. Admission is free.
