53rd Annual Golf Classic in Memory of Charles “Bebe” Rebozo
Charity & Social Events, Save the dateBoys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade is hosting its 53rd Annual Golf Classic in Memory of Charles “Bebe” Rebozo on Monday, March 16. The tournament offers players the chance to play for fun or at a competitive level. Raffle prizes, lunch and open bar will be offered throughout the tournament. Participants can also enter for a chance to win a golf trip of a lifetime to Pebble Beach or Bandon Dunes if they hole out. They’ll receive a little help from champion World Long Driver competitor and former MLB baseball player, Bobby Bradley.
The funds raised will support the Clubs’ youth development programs including, affordable after-school care, winter and summer camps, sports leagues, tutoring and mentoring services. The 53rd Annual Golf Classic is expected to raise more than $90,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade.
Members of the Golf Classic committee are Ed Gilhuly, Clint Gulley, Willie Ho, Anthony Lopez, Alex Quevedo, Fred Rebozo, Ed Soto, Marc Suarez, Ben Walker and Special Events Chair, Olga Guilarte. Committee members will help steer this popular long-standing Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade fundraiser. The Golf Classic Presenting Sponsor is Carmen Rebozo Foundation. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and lunch will be served starting at 10:30 a.m. The daylong tournament will begin with a putting contest from 11:15–11:45 a.m. The shotgun start will immediately follow at noon.
The day will conclude at 5 p.m. with dinner and a raffle draw in the country club’s banquet hall. Guests will enjoy a buffet-style dinner, wine and cocktails. Raffle prizes include hotel and vacation packages, golf aficionado memorabilia and more. All golfers will receive a commemorative golf shirt, umbrella and golf balls. Parking, green fees, cart, range balls and lunch are all complimentary. Guests are asked to adhere to the country club casual dress code or golf attire.
