Nowhere else in South Florida will you find a more gracious and elegant setting for one of the most celebrated formal affairs in Miami. The 59th Annual Vizcaya Ball will celebrate A Return to the Gilded Age and All That Glitters, on November 21, 2015. The black-tie affair is traditionally attended by people who care about the preservation of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and are proud to help support the protection and restoration of this beautiful National Historic Landmark.

The gala will begin with a red carpet entrance, leading into the Courtyard for the cocktail reception. The evening will continue with entertainment and an elegant dinner overlooking Biscayne Bay. Attendees will be able bid on silent auction items throughout the evening and dance the night away to the sounds of the Steve Chase Band. A spectacular fireworks display high above the historic stone barge will top off the festivities.

This year’s Ball Committee Members include Honoree Chair Swanee DiMare and committee members Lesli Ann Brown, Sonia Gibson, Linda Levy Goldberg, Cathy Jones, Nicole Lozano, Christina Martin, William Meyersohn, James W. Murphy, Alexa Wolman and Suzy Buckley Woodward. Their mission is to raise funds to preserve and protect Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for the community and future generations.

About Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a National Historic Landmark that preserves the Miami estate of agricultural industrialist James Deering to engage our community and its visitors in learning through the arts, history and the environment. Built between 1914 and 1922, Vizcaya is one of the most intact remaining examples from this era in United States history, when the nation’s most successful entrepreneurs built lavish estates inspired by the stately homes of Europe.

Vizcaya features a Main House, 10 acres of formal gardens, a rockland hammock (native forest), mangrove shore, the Vizcaya Café and Shop presented by A Joy Wallace Catering, Design and Special Events, and a historic village that will be restored for additional venues for programs and community outreach. Located at 3251 South Miami Avenue, between Brickell Avenue and Coconut Grove, Vizcaya is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
