Big Night in Little Haiti partners this month with The Big Read. Activities during the month-long Big Read center around Edwidge Danticat’s landmark memoir, Brother I’m Dying. Live performance by Aroze Troubadadou. The Miami Book Fair’s The Big Read will feature nine Haitian-American authors, including M.J. Fievre and Fabienne Josephat who will read from their works. DJ Mack between sets. In the gallery: Miami: One City, Two Homes Photography Exhibition- Featuring photos of Little Haiti, Little Havana, Haiti and Cuba curated by Carl Juste, founder, Iris Photo Collective. Activities for kids, hosted by Positive Impact Foundation and Bass Museum. Delicious kreyol cuisine from Leela’s Restaurant. After show at the Caribbean Marketplace, adjacent to the Little Haiti Cultural Complex (10 p.m. to midnight). Free with a suggested $5 donation.
