As part of the Art + Research Center’s Spring 2017 Semester, “New Social Abstractions,” arts theorist and professor Luciana Parisi will deliver a new public lecture, “Instrumentality or the origin of techno-logic,” at ICA Miami. This seminar series offers a critical reflection about the philosophical, aesthetic and political consequences of the increasing dominance of automated systems in contemporary culture. Seminars: March 20–22, 6:30-8:30 pm. Lecture: March 23, 7 p.m. Admission is free.
