Beaux Arts Ball 2024
Benefitting the Lowe Art Museum.
2024, Gala GuideStart spreading the news! On Saturday, October 5th, Beaux Arts will celebrate its 72nd annual ball benefitting the Lowe Art Museum. As Miami’s longest-running and most anticipated costume ball, themed “Empire State of Mind,” the 2024 event will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami, where guests will gather for a fun and philanthropic night, with all proceeds benefiting free admission to the University of Miami’s Lowe Art Museum and Beaux Arts’ educational programs.
Taking a bite out of the Big Apple with iconic New York-themed décor and attire, Beaux Arts will bring the “Empire State of Mind” theme to life, along with a live band and delicious theme-based foods and cocktails. The attendees’ always over-the-top costumes will steal the show in the annual costume contest. This year’s ball is chaired by Monica Mase.
Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on luxurious silent auction and raffle items in support of Beaux Arts’ mission.
“We are thrilled to bring a piece of New York to Miami with our ‘Empire State of Mind’ themed ball,” said Ashley Andren and Jordan Kever, Beaux Arts Co-Presidents 2024-2025. “Our annual ball is a time-honored tradition full of fun and revelry that not only brings our community together, but most importantly, supports the Lowe Art Museum and children’s arts education programs run by Beaux Arts’ dedicated volunteers. We look forward to celebrating with our dedicated members, friends and sponsors!”
For over seven decades Beaux Arts has been committed to expanding arts education, appreciation and access in South Florida. Through the organization’s signature outreach programs, HandsOn! and Student Artist Showcase, thousands of children from underserved communities have been introduced to the world of art. Additionally, Beaux Arts’ support of the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami each year allows the museum to offer free admission to all patrons year-round.
The Beaux Arts Ball was instituted in 1953 as a major fundraising event, and holds the distinction of being the oldest costume ball in South Florida. Themes vary widely, from “Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil,” “James Bond,” to “Fire & Ice,” and the creativity of costumes makes each year a unique experience.
The event begins at 7:00 pm and individual tickets to the ball are $375 and $700 for couples. Attire is “Empire State of Mind” themed costumes or Black Tie. For more information on how to attend or sponsor the event, please visit https://beauxartsmiami.org/pages/ball.
About Beaux Arts
Founded in 1952, Beaux Arts is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to encourage an understanding and appreciation of the arts in South Florida through outreach programs and support of the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami. In 2014, the organization donated a gift of $1.5 million to the Lowe Art Museum, which enabled the creation of the endowed position of Beaux Arts Director and chief curator of the Lowe Art Museum, now held by Dr. Jill Deupi. Having won the “White Award,” Beaux Arts was recognized as the University of Miami’s most effective donor through its combined contribution of more than $8 million in funds to support the Lowe. Beaux Arts has supported over 25,000 children at the Beaux Arts camp and more than 5,000 students from the Miami-Dade public school system with its annual HandsOn! program.
