Vizcaya Museum and Gardens’ Big Boss Birthday is a jazzed up celebration of books and bosses. Join Vizcaya Museum and Gardens on this special occasion as its celebrates the birthday of Vizcaya’s original owner, James Deering, as well as the publication “Big Bosses: A Working Girl’s Memoir of Jazz Age America: the annotated memoirs of James Deering’s secretary, Althea McDowell Altemus.” Enjoy light bites and historic cocktails, live jazz and entertainment and, of course, cake. Books will be available for advance purchase through Vizcaya’s partner Books & Books. Guests are encouraged to come dress in their best “jazz age America” attire. Tickets are $20.
