Café Quijano was formed by Manuel, Oscar and Raul Quijano, three brothers from the city of León in northwest Spain. The Quijano tours have broken records in Spain, selling more than one million tickets – among the highest by any Spanish artist on a single tour, in 2001. They have been awarded countless Latin Music industry awards, and in 2011, were the first Spanish group ever to be nominated for a GRAMMY. Among their extensive soundtrack work, they were featured in Disney’s Lilo & Stitch. Their list of collaborators includes international stars like Celine Dion, Armando Manzanero and Joaquin Sabina. Since 1998, they have released eight top selling albums, making the unique transition from a major career in Spanish Rock to their own repertoire of Boleros. With their beautiful exploration of the sultry Latin rhythms, the brothers retain the romance and bolero roots, infused with Cuban son and the classic influences of Spain and Mexico. Their boleros are fresh and elegant, and certain to win over new fans on this first visit to Miami. Tickets $20, $40 & $50.
