About Kristi House
Kristi House is dedicated to treating and preventing child sexual abuse, trafficking and other childhood trauma, working closely with community partners, parents and providers
Operating the nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center responsible for all of Miami-Dade County, Kristi House is the only facility dedicated to a mission of system coordination to ensure that all emotional, physical and legal needs for child sexual abuse and teen sexual assault victims are provided. Every week partner-agencies and Kristi House meet to discuss individual cases to make certain that no child falls through the gaps in our complex systems of care and justice.
Along with coordinating the partners at the Center, we provide the specialists to help the child and family heal, with therapists using the most effective. proven interventions for recovery.
In 2007, Kristi House established the first program in Miami for sex trafficked youth. Project GOLD, serves girls and young women overcoming commercial sexual exploitation through a Drop-In Center dedicated to trafficked females.
Most are surprised to learn there is not a source of public funding dedicated to helping young victims of sexual abuse. But thanks to a strong community of supporters and partners, Kristi House has been able to provide first-in-class services for children overcoming trauma for nearly three decades. Donations can be made specifically for treatment or prevention, or unrestricted to be used for operations and unanticipated pressing needs.
